Are you sure you were happy with your ex partner or were you just settling?

This question is not asked enough, it’s not thought of enough and it definitely is not answered enough.

We usually know deep down what kind of guy or girl we really want/ need in our lives, we know deep down from the jump when we meet someone if that’s the person but some how for some reason we settle, we fool ourselves into believing eventually they will become that person we long to have.

Did any of those settlements (past relationships) work?

I guess not because they’re the past right? They ended up being lessons, well taught ones too, but of course we needed that experience, we needed that heartbreak, the confusion, the misunderstandings , in all , the lesson to gain enough knowledge to realize we were just settling. We were lying to ourselves that they’re for us, we knew all along the kind of soulmate we would love to have a life with.

Now that you have been through what you will call enough, enough back and forth , enough of what you knew deep down won’t last, I hope you are being honest with yourself.

I hope now you don’t settle , instead I hope you are that woman or man of substance / value whom not only knows but understands what they want/ need in life in general.

I pray you have the future you are destined to have. Take your heart seriously , respect yourself enough and love yourself enough to refuse what you do not want & need.
